AI-Mind Featured on Brain Talks Podcast

On 28 October 2024, the European Brain Council (EBC) released a new episode of Brain Talks, the podcast produced as part of the Brain Innovation Days initiative.  Brain Talks brings together thought leaders and stakeholders from the growing brain health ecosystem to discuss groundbreaking research, innovations, and advancements in brain health. In this episode, titled “Unlocking AI’s Potential in Brain Health”, experts from two EU-funded projects, AI-Mind and BRAINTEASER, join the discussion to explore how AI is shaping the future of brain health. This episode features Dr Ira Haraldsen, Primary investigator and Head of the Cognitive Health Research Group at the Oslo University Hospital and the AI-Mind coordinator alongside Dr Alessandro Guazzo, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University from the BRAINTEASER project.

The discussion centres on the transformative potential of AI applications in brain health, exploring how AI is revolutionising early diagnostics, predictive modelling, and personalised interventions in neurology. This episode aims to engage researchers, clinicians, and the public alike, shedding light on how these projects are making strides in tackling complex brain-related conditions through cutting-edge AI.

The release of this episode also aligns with AI-Mind’s 9th General Assembly, held on 28–29 October in Madrid. The assembly provides a timely opportunity for the project’s consortium to discuss progress and share strategic insights, as it moves closer to achieving its objectives in early detection of cognitive impairment risks. This gathering marks another important milestone for AI-Mind as it celebrates significant advances in its work, uniting researchers and clinical experts to drive forward their shared vision for AI-enabled brain health solutions.

Listeners can tune into Brain Talks on the Brain Innovation Days website to explore how AI is reshaping the future of brain health. The AI-Mind and BRAINTEASER teams are thrilled to share their knowledge and findings, and to contribute to broader discussions on the role of AI in advancing neurological and neurodegenerative disease prevention and care.
